Digitizing

Digitizing is the process of converting a customer supplied image file into an embroidery file that can be read by an embroidery machine.

If you don't have a particular image as a file, a new image or logo can be digitized based on information and feedback from the customer with what they hope to achieve as the final product.

What types of graphic files can we use to digitize your logo?

  • .bmp (Windows Bitmap)

  • .jpg/.jpeg  (Joing Photographic Experts)

  • .tif/.tiff (Tagged Image File Format)

  • .png (Portable Network Graphics)

  • .pcx (Personal Computer eXchange)

  • .eps (Encapsulated PostScript)

  • .emf (Enhanced Meta File)

  • .svg/.svgz (Scalable Vector Graphics)

Pricing for digitizing varies depending on image complexity and scale.  If you only want a digitized image file, without embroidery onto apparel items, we will charge a fee for the digitizing service. Depending on design complexity, the digitizing fee is between $5 - $20/1,000 stitches.

If you would like items embroidered with your digitizing, the fee for digitizing may be waived at the discretion of Emergency Threads.

Emergency Threads custom digitizes its embroidery files and as such, owns the file(s) created on behalf of the customer. Emergency Threads does not sell the files it creates for use by other parties.
